Dig deeper digitally into the Ford Focus

AR markers were placed on the doors, hood and trunk of the 2011 Ford Focus. Concert goers were handed iPad 2’s encased in steering wheels and encouraged to walk around the vehicle. Each marker spawned an interactive commercial showcasing a different feature.

A content management system was developed to allow presenters to adjust the visual alignment of the content in augmented reality and a video solution was developed to allow video to be presented in 3D space in mobile for the Unity platform despite having no support for the technique natively.

I made a presentation at Unity’s Unite 2011 where I discussed the project and the current and future state of mobile augmented reality.
