NASA wanted a fun digital experience to engage a new, younger audience. Choreography was done by my wife and her old dance school and filmed from two angles to allow talented roto-scoping to transfer the dancer’s performance to 3D models. A custom tracking solution was developed to output position and rotation data for the character’s faces for use in real-time tracking within Flash. I then wrote 3 songs and designed a progressive layout and set solution to allow users to upload their own faces and watch themselves dancing on the moon.
